The High Voltage RC Monster Truck Championships is an event derived to bring the RIC monster truck industry and enthusiast together for one major event to promote RC monster truck racing clubs across the country as well as our great hobby. Just think how neat it would be to have the NRICTPA racers face off against the RCMTC participants from Illinois, Michigan, Hawaii and New York. Imagine the great group of guys that race at Hippies House, in Virginia as well as anyone around the globe who has an electric RC monster truck that wants to come together for the good of our hobby that we love for one spectacular racing event! How cool would it be to put a face with a name with everyone that frequents the great forum known as RCMT, or what about the veterans that pioneered our form of racing getting to mix it up with the likes of today's best racers! The High Voltage RC Monster Truck Championships will feature side-by-side elimination style racing over a predetermined replica Monster Truck race course using a Christmas tree timing system. The carpeted race course will consist of two mirrored lanes which will include obstacles such as crush cars and jumps similar to full size monster truck racing. In order to give participants ample track time we are going to devote an entire day (Saturday) to qualifying. We would like to give participants at least 4 and maybe as many as 6 chances on the track to put down their best qualifying run. The number of runs will be based on the number of trucks we have competing. This will be determined once the pre registration process has concluded. We will take the fastest run of the qualifying rounds from each participant to form the elimination racing bracket. Single Elimination racing will take place on Sunday in a slowest versus fastest format and we will race each class until a winner is crown. We will be releasing more detailed information on the event Format in the coming months leading up the event. |

Traxxas Monster Jam Shoot Out: This class will feature the Traxxas Monster Jam Replica trucks based on the dynamic Traxxas Stampede! This class promises to be a fun way to race your replica Monster Jam Truck like the Pros! HPI Wheely King VS. Redcat Ground Pounder: This class will pit ever popular Wheely King against the Ground Pounder to see who has the best solid axle, drive shaft driven entry level monster truck on the market! Kyosho MadITwin Force VS Tamiya TXT-l : This class will be open to the Kyosho Twin Force and Mad Force CruiserVE to do battle with the Tamiya TXT-l. Retro Challenge: A class devoted to the replication of Old School Monster Trucks! We are going to race them like they did back in the 80's! |
