One of the biggest issues facing dealer attendees is the cost of coming to a trade show. Here’s an easy way to encourage your customers to come to the show and place orders with you. The “Ticket to Ride” promotion rewards attendees in a very real way to help them defray their travel costs to attend the Expo, while encouraging them to place orders with you.
Here’s how it works:
-
Participating exhibitors will receive numbered “Ticket to Ride” coupons to give to buyers on orders. You pick your coupon value from $10 to $100 and you decide how you want to reward your customers at the show!
-
When buyers place a qualifying order they receive a “Ticket to Ride” coupon from you.
-
At the end of the show, buyers can submit their coupons along with qualified travel receipts to HMA. HMA will collate these coupons and bill you for the face amount of the coupons redeemed by your customers.
-
When buyers remit the coupon to HMA, we’ll bill you only for the coupons used by them.
Exhibitors who do not normally sell directly to retail hobby shops may take advantage of the “Ticket to Ride” promotion too! If a dealer places an order at your booth for something that is dropped shipped through one of your distributors, they could receive a coupon from you even though the actual product ships through the distribution network.
Use “Ticket to Ride” coupons as a stand alone show special or in conjunction with your own promotion. Your cost is nothing other than your redeemed coupons from the buyers who placed their orders with you!
There’s no up front cost and there’s nothing to hold you back!
"I anticipate getting about 20 new dealers over the next few months as a result of iHobby Expo™. Reaction to the Ticket to Ride program was very good. We will definitely do it again. You did a great job this year.”
—Charlee Smith, Bob Smith Industries, Atascadero, CA
“I really like the idea of Ticket to Ride. I placed a fair amount in orders and I hope you continue this program and get more exhibitors participating.”
—Richard Benjamin, Hobbytown USA, Frederick, MD
The Ticket to Ride program is a good deal for retailers. We can go to the show, place orders that we would normally place with our vendors, and get our travel expenses paid for. What a great way to shop!”
